Let Me Entertain You

This has got to stop! I blame it on that troublemaker Steve - always looking for ways to shock his more sensitive readers.

Well, he's done it this time and no mistake. A mug shot, for God's Sake. I don't waste my time reading his lovely posts to suffer psychic trauma. I read his posts for a belly laugh and the realisation that there is at least one other person out there who is as deserving of pity as me.

But now "It's all a bit poor" has also posted a mug shot; well more a body shot actually. I know we're told disclosure is good for the soul, but not this. Please, please fellow bloggers - refrain. Let's have no more mug shots, poetic poses, passport photos, Facebook discards or "Crime Watch" stills.

I tremble to think where all this could end. Steve posting his infamous office party routine from "Gypsy"?

I'm told that on the back of that his local drama group signed him up for the lead in "La Cage aux Folles". The theatre critic of the Leamington Spa Courier raved about his performance. This may explain his sad delusional state - Johnny Depp - really!

Don't do it "It's all a bit poor". Posing Monty Pythonish naked at an organ may increase your traffic (or not) but at what cost? The mind quakes.

Remember fellow bloggers immature, impressionable minds might stumble on our out pourings - I'm not talking about you Steve! Could you live with yourself if, as a result of them glimpsing your visage au naturelle, they'd spent years in rehab.

No, I'm sure this was a minor aberration. Common sense will out and we'll settle back into a steady diet of shots of seascapes, churches and deserted high streets.

I take it from this post then that you don't wish to see footage of my famous human ping-pong firing act involving me and, er, a ping-pong ball?

Exactly my point. You just don't know when to stop. BT have been informed.

The gauntlet has been laid down to you Marginalia. Are you willing to give your all in the name of art? Don't be shy!

I hadn't considered posing in a state of undress at the piano until you put the idea in my head....

Oh dear what have I done! My plea for modesty and decorum has been undermined by the antics of scurrilous bloggers.

I agree. It would be terrible if my blog friends found out that I look like Gina Lollabrigida in her prime. Of course, by mentioning her name, I give my true age away and thus conjure up images of its cruel attending disappointments.
Is that a recent picture of Rod Stewart playing his organ? (note I did not say playing with it!)

Dear louciao, Gina Lollabridiga: her name brings a lump to my throat. Her and Bert Lancaster: who can forget that coupling.

I don't think either Rod or Terry Jones would be much flattered by your misidentification.

Chickening out I take it? Thought you were a child of the swinging sixties.....

Dear Anon (from New Zealand), I'm no clucking chicken.
